In other IPL news, Kolkata Knight Riders have added Afghanistan’s Allah Ghazanfar as a replacement for the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Ghazanfar, an offspinner, has featured in two ODIs for Afghanistan already.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals too drafted in left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj from South Africa as a replacement for the injured Prasidh Krishna.”Prasidh Krishna recently underwent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon and is currently recovering,” mentioned a media release from IPL.

Both Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals have posted victories so far in their IPL 2024 campaign openers. Both teams have also had injury concerns in the tournament. KKR roped in Phil Salt after Jason Roy pulled out while RR bought in Tanush Kotian to replace Adam Zampa, who withdrew at the eleventh hour due to personal reasons. The Australian leg-spinner had been retained by Rajasthan Royals ahead of December’s auction in Dubai on a contract worth INR 1.5 crore which amounts to A$273,000 approximately.
