New Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins proves he grew up as a fan of the team
Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers made a great addition to their offense on Wednesday. They signed veteran running back J.K. Dobbins. He makes the jump from John to Jim Harbaugh after years with the Baltimore Ravens.

Dobbins proved on his social media that he grew up a Chargers fan.

Dobbins also posted the childhood image of him in the Chargers jersey on his Instagram, too.

Dobbins has played well when on the field but has been plagued by injuries throughout his career. He has missed 43 games during his four seasons in the NFL, with injuries such as a torn ACL and torn Achillies. Dobbins appeared in just one game last season.

Dobbins has amassed 1,347 yards on 234 career carries with an impressive 5.8 yards per carry average. Given his injury history, his workload will certainly need to be closely monitored. He will once again play second fiddle to Edwards, but Dobbins should see plenty of meaningful snaps. -- Nick Roesch, A to Z

The RB also reunites with offensive coordinator Greg Roman

All in all, the veteran gets to play for his favorite NFL team growing up - which is one of the best stories you can have in sports.
